Meet The Owner

Alissa’s hair career began long before her professional one. She can remember sitting next to her Oma at the age of six, watching Hockey Night in Canada. Oma would yell at the TV something about Wendel baby (Wendel Clark was her crush), while Alissa would be brushing and putting rollers in her doll’s hair. 

Alissa’s passion for hair continued through her teenage years, when she did her own hair and her family and friends. At this point, she knew a career in hair styling was her calling, so off to school, she went. Shortly after Alissa’s enrollment, she began her advanced placement and apprenticeship, where she had the opportunity to learn from some of the industry’s most prominent leaders, who helped mold her into the stylist she is today.

Now, with over 25 years of professional experience, Alissa offers a unique experience that is accessible to all hair types, with an emphasis on naturally textured and curly hair. Her focus is always on finding the balance between wellness and fashion. She brings a progressive and inquisitive approach to understanding each of her client’s needs.

Hair Sprung has been in Business since 2004, evolving in harmony with the dynamic changes in the neighborhood. Following numerous years of establishment, the business has recently undergone relocation to a central venue, strategically positioned for the convenience of the college community.
