Meet the Owner of Hair Sprung

Alissa Fletcher’s career as a hair specialist in the Greater Toronto area began long
before her professional one. When she was six, she would sit next to her Oma and watch
Hockey Night in Canada. Oma would yell at the TV something about her “Wendel baby”
(Wendel Clark was her crush) while little Alissa would brush and put rollers in her doll’s
hair.

This passion for hair continued through Alissa’s teenage years, as she provided haircut
services for her family, friends, and herself. She knew a career in hairstyling was her
calling, so she went to beauty school to receive proper training. Shortly after enrolling, she
began her advanced placement and apprenticeship, where she learned from some of the
industry’s leading hairstylists. These opportunities helped mold her into the hair specialist
she is today.

Alissa takes pride in having over 25 years of experience. She is committed to providing a
unique experience that is accessible to clients of all hair types, especially those with
naturally textured and curly hair. In addition, she always focuses on finding the balance
between wellness and fashion. As a hair specialist, she takes a progressive, inquisitive
approach to understanding her clients’ needs.

Hair Sprung was started in 2004 and has evolved to address the dynamic changes in the
neighborhood. After many years of establishment, our salon recently relocated to a central
venue strategically positioned for the convenience of the college community.
